Geolocation services and games and their use in libraries

Bachelor's thesis on the theme "Geolocation services and games a their use in libraries" is focused on geolocation services and games, which can have positive impact for libraries. First chapter is dedicated to present geolocation services and games and briefly desribes their principle and function. Next chapter is focused closely on specific game, which is Geocaching. Describes its principle, history and also presents examples of caches and their individual types. Third chapter is focused on specific use of geocaching in libraries. Presents existing examples of libraries with experience in geocaching and describes more ideas about its use in libraries. Last chapter contains model design of cache placement in library.

This bachelor thesis deals with exploitation of geolocation services in the Czech Republic. It is divided in two parts. The theoretical part focuses on location-based services apps and their application in the field of online marketing. The practice part includes a survey focused on the user experience of Foursquare apps and with the similar apps Swarm and also on their opinion on the upgrade of these services that was implemented in 2014. The other part of the thesis is the analysis of four companies which operate active venues on Foursquare used for marketing presentation. The aim of this bachelor thesis is to analyze the current state of the utilization of the geolocation applications especially Foursquare and Swarm in the Czech Republic both from the users` perspective and the perspective of the venues administrators. Gamification in Online Marketing

Gamification is right now one of the fastest rising trends in marketing. It focuses on gaining new customers and keeping current ones by bringing game mechanics and game principles to non-gaming environment. Gamification however isn't just a buzzword. Gartner says that by 2014 every bigger company will have its gamification consultant, who should be as important as social media experts are now. This thesis is focusing on gamification towards web, web services and online marketing. It serves not only as an academic introduction to the term itself, but also shows how to apply game mechanics on the Internet. It also describes and evaluates real life examples of gamification in online marketing.

Libraries in social media from the viewpoint of readers/users

The aim of this bachelor thesis is to describe user's viewpoint on library activites in social media. It summarizes definition, history and characteristic of social networking sites and describes some of them (Facebook, Foursquare, Twitter, YouTube). In next part it deals with chosen information sources about libraries in social media. It also describes social media activites of the Research Library in Hradec Králové. The practical part describes results from the implemented questionnaire survey in this library and itd results.
Management of Marketing Campaigns in an Environment of Social Networks and Evaluating their Effectiveness

This thesis is an analysis of the efficiency of managing social media campaings of Faculty of Management in Jindrichuv Hradec, as well as a new proposal of its improvements. The first part of the thesis explains theoretical expressions on the topic above, including marketing communication, public relations, media planning and online marketing. The second chapter turn the theoretical knowledge into practice, contains of concrete activities of Faculty of Management in Jindrichuv Hradec in comparsion with its competitive faculties. Conclusion of the thesis consist of recommendations for managing the social media campaings and its further tracking of the efficiency.
The use of the social Networks for Competitive Intelligence in Provident Financial

This thesis deals with the use of the social Networks for Competitive Intelligence theme in Provident Financial. The main objective of this thesis is to propose the set of recommendations for the effective use of social networking of the company. The recommendations are based on the analysis made for use of social networking by the competitors. The first part of the thesis deals with the issue of the social networking and competitive intelligence. The theoretical part of the thesis explains the social Networks concept and presents the selected Czech and World social Networks and explains the CI concept. The practical part of the thesis presents Provident Financial, the current condition of social networking and company CI. The main competitors are analyzed by the social networking activities. This analysis of the competitors is summarized into one report containing the benchmark ratings. The results of the benchmarking serve as a basis for the set of recommendations for the effective use of social networking of Provident Financial.
Analysis of possilbe use of social networks in marketing strategy.

The main objective of this thesis is to evaluate activities of the bar U stare studny on social networks and to suggest steps that will enable management to achieve success mainly on Facebook, but also on other networks such as Twitter and Foursquare. The bar is currently using social networks in a very limited way and in this work I would like to contribute to better understanding of the problem and also show the way, which should their online activities take. The theoretical part deals with the social graph, which is later linked to the modern online social networks. The practical part contains steps that aim to improve the marketing campaigns primarily on Facebook, but also on Twitter and Foursquare.
